    Published 29/06/22, by Emily Buirski
Subject: Inequality Part 2 - Education & Careers
    Wednesday 29 June 2022

This debate is available to 10 year 10 to 13 students per Cheltenham Education Partnership school.

Format: Two to three students from each school will collectively deliver a 5-minute statement (maximum time allocated per school) outlining the ONE thing that they believe will best assist them in understanding the range of options they have when considering their careers. How can employers help them achieve their aspirations?

This will be followed by a live panel Q&A where all attending students (up to 100) will have the opportunity to ask questions with the guest panel of policymakers and industry specialists. Panellists include Councillor Flo Clucas (Liberal Democrat councillor in Cheltenham and Cabinet Member for Safety and Communities), Lindsey Holland (Cheltenham Chamber Commerce), Richard York (Cynam MD), James Cinicola (Golden Valley Development), and representation from G-First LEP Careers Enterprise.

We will be working with the University of Gloucestershire Sustainability team to provide a number of workshops as part of the Summit. These workshops will aim to deepen students’ knowledge around environmental sustainability and future careers in this area, plus offer CPD for staff. There will also be a chance for students to ask more questions from industry experts.
