Cyber Workshops
On Thursday 18th November 2021, year 8 and 9 students from across the partnership were invited to participate in a series of Cyber Workshops at Gloucestershire College's (GlosCol) Advanced Digital Academy (ADA). Forty-five students participated from All Saints' Academy, Balcarras School, Cleeve School and St. Edwards' School.
Workshops involved learning about Cyber Security and Gaming - coordinated and presented by GlosCol's specialist tutors, Debbie, Patrick, Pranith, Will, Rob and Laura. Plus industry talks with Eleanor Hardman from CyNam and Charles Bain from North Green Security who presented technical and non-technical careers within the exciting and rapidly growing Cyber industry.
“It [Cyber Workshops] really was very good. Particular highlights from voices in the bus on way home, were meeting industry people and the practical workshop on Blender (3D modelling tool). We should go again if it takes place!” John Andrews, St Edward’s School
“I’ve enjoyed learning about many aspects of cyber, both technical and human.” Student, All Saints’ Academy
“I’ve learnt new skills within cyber and have found routes I would possibly take interest in.” Student, Cleeve School
